Good game!

Two teams congratulate each other after a game at the Midwest Invitational Softball Tournament on Labor Day weekend. Cleveland hosted the ninth and largest annual M.I.S.T., with teams from Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Detroit and Toronto. Teams played at Brookside Park all day long Saturday and Sunday, vying for the first place trophy. Toronto's team "Synergy" became the 1994 champions by beating the Detroit team "Body Shop" by a score of 18-3.

Synergy was given their trophy aboard the Goodtime III Sunday evening, which cruised all 19 teams down the Cuyahoga River. Everyone repeatedly commented on the great time they were having in Cleveland.

If you would like to be a part of Cleveland's gay and lesbian softball league next year, keep an eye out for bar posters and Chronicle advertisements in the spring.

Congratulations, Synergy!
